Bamburi Cement Limited wishes to announce the appointment of Vasileios Karalis as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company.  

Vasileios is the LafargeHolcim Head of Finance for East and South Africa & Indian Ocean Area. In his twelve year career in Lafarge, he has held various roles within the finance, control, investments and mergers & acquisitions departments; and it is this wealth of experience he now brings to the Board.

The Board also announces the resignation of Olivier Guitton from the Board.

The Board welcomes Vasileios to the Bamburi Group and thanks Olivier for his service.

Bamburi Cement Limited wishes to give notice of the following:

1. The Board accepted the resignation of Nicolas George as a Director of the Company after he resigned from the LafargeHolcim Group.

2. The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Jean-Michel Pons as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company. He joined Lafarge in 2011 and held various positions in Algeria and Serbia with the recent being Chief Executive Officer, LafargeHolcim Moldova. Jean-Michel will also act as Managing Director, Hima Cement Limited, Uganda. 

The changes take effect immediately.
