People, Organization & Sustainability Director
Irene previously worked in the audit and banking sector in both Uganda and Kenya in a number of roles including heading the HR function for two local banks. She joined Bamburi Cement as the Career Development Manager for Kenya and Uganda in 2007.
From November 2013, she was the Organization & Human Resources Director at Hima Cement, Uganda. She re-joined Bamburi Cement as Human Resource & Organization Director in 2018, before being appointed the People, Organization and Sustainability Director in 2021.
She is a board member of Lafarge Eco Systems, the environmental arm of Bamburi Cement.
